Just an update :)

Hey, remember us?  We used to have a blog... So we've kind of fallen behind in posting, no biggie.  "Personal finance" courses will be available as an elective at certain high schools starting 2011-2012 school year! (yeeah!)  We're working on the curriculum right now, so if any of you have suggestions as to what should be on it, feel free to leave it in the comments.  Otherwise, just make sure to choose it next, next year.  Course outline will be posted as soon as we finish it!

And yeah, we'll try to post more often... that might help our cause a bit ;)

  1. yaaay!

    If you can, check for
    1) debt management
    2) mortgage payments and types
    3) Writing checks? That's what in the personal finance curriculum here, anyway..
    4) Oh, investing! Do they go over both how the stock market works and how to make wise decisions with your portfolio? And are they leaning more towards investing in trust funds or personal portfolios?
    5) Possibly, though not necessarily, a brief look at company management structures and how they function
    6) And at least a mention of how the recession we're still technically in now came to be (which ties back to mortgages and debt management!)

    yeah. :)
